Politico, citing sources familiar with the meetings, reports they include former Vice President Joe Biden and Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. The news outlet notes Biden and Obama have kept in touch since leaving office, but, in their talk, did not appear to have addressed the matter of Biden running in 2020. Obama and Warren are said to have met twice, their first encounter following Warren's publicly-expressed concerns about Obama's $400,000 Wall Street speaking engagement. According to Politico, Sanders reportedly requested his meeting with the former president, and sources say the two talked about "what the party should be focused on, and what would be distractions."
