Hundreds gathered in the streets of Ramallah on Sunday, June 10, demanding the Palestinian Authority lift sanctions against the West Bank.According to reports, the protest and chants were a call to action against President Mahmoud Abbas and the sanctions and to show solidarity with Gaza Strip areas under similar sanction.Security officials dressed in plainclothes were also at the rally in order to prevent the march, the report said.Abbas had been criticized for months for his sanctions, with one report saying his policies are bad for Palestinians and Israel.
