Homeland Security Seeks New Powers To Protect Against Drones In U.S. Airspace

According to a report by Gizmodo, the US Department of Homeland Security is asking Congress to approve new legislation that would increase the agency's ability to surveil, research, and attack drones flying in US airspace. In written testimony yesterday, Hayley Chang, the DHS deputy general counsel, claimed there are a number of things the DHS 'can't do currently' due to outdated laws that potentially jeopardize the United States' national security.
