The two-day early voting period for the 2018 local elections kicked off just over an hour ago, five days prior to the actual June 13th Election Day.
According to the National Election Commission, citizens who won't be able to cast their votes on June 13th can visit any of the 3,512 polling stations around the nation on Friday or Saturday between 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Residents in twelve districts across the country can also cast their ballots for parliamentary by-elections.
President Moon Jae-in is set to cast his vote on Friday, becoming the first sitting South Korean leader to do so during the early voting period.
