Kim Kardashian met with the president about prison reform and to plead Johnson’s case. Johnson was sentenced to life in prison in 1996, according to the nonprofit Can-Do. Trump recently pardoned conservative pundit and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, who plead guilty in 2014 to violating campaign finance laws. He has also claimed the right to pardon himself, as the Russia probe looms over his presidency.
