Zookeeper subdues a pride of lions with just his slipper

The manager of a zoo in Crimea steps out of a truck taking a group of visitors around to discipline members of a pride of lions with his slipper.
Oleg Zubkov from Taygan safari park in Crimea, saw a younger female lion being bullied by a group of older lions. Fearlessly emerging from the truck, Zubkov threateningly wields his slipper and throws it at the main perpetrator.
They disperse. One of the women filming exclaims in surprise, "the end, they went about their business." she then notes that some of the pride are now hiding from him behind the car.
Zubkov calls his item of footwear his "magic slipper" and says it's a scary weapon. "I will spank you!" he reprimands them.
Zubkov was initially an avid supporter of Russia's annexation of Crimea from Ukraine. He owns a lion called Referendum and promised to set his animals on any Ukrainian nationalists, reported the Guardian in 2016.
Later, he started having second thoughts about Moscow's takeover. “Under Ukraine things here were bad, but now Russia is here things are even worse,” he told the paper.
