Sperm Contact's Egg (remarkable “flash” at the moment of fertilization.)
scientists have captured images of the flash of light that sparks at the very moment a human sperm cell makes contact with an egg.

“sparks” of conception—an incredible physical reaction when sperm meets an egg. The flashes are actually made of zinc, and their brightness could indicate the strength of fertilization.

Northwestern University researchers previously saw the reaction in mice, but this is the first time in human sperm and eggs.
