Police Pursue Stolen Armored Personnel Vehicle Through Richmond

A man who stole a armored personnel carrier and led police on a chase through Richmond, Virginia, on June 5 is in custody after surrendering to officers, according to Virginia State Police.“As of 9:40 p.m., the driver of the armored personnel carrier had stopped the vehicle and surrendered to Virginia State Police,” a police spokesperson told WTVR.Virginia State Police said that the vehicle left the Virginia National Guard-operated Fort Pickett near Blackstone at around 8 pm., never speeding beyond 40 mph.The armored vehicle was driven to Richmond from Nottoway County via Interstate 95 and Route 460, according to CBS News.
