John McCain: Is it the President's Job to Solve Moral Issues?

The government must address the issues most important to the American people.

John McCain: I think it's the government's job to address issues that are important to the lives of the American people. I don't think that . . . I think there is a line that is always drawn between people's private lives and public policy; but many of us, for example, who support the rights of the unborn believe that that's a universal human right, and our advocacy for it extends beyond the boundaries of the United States of America.
