Black+Decker HF110SBD 2-Liter Oil Free Air Fryer Review

Hi Guys, today Im reviewing the BLACK+DECKER HF110SBD 2-Liter Oil Free Air Fryer. LINK to Black & Decker Air Fryer: This Air Fryer cooks by using heat and a dual fan convection system to circulate hot air around the food.\r
\r
Its 10.5 inches wide, 13.5 inches deep and 13 inches tall. The instruction manual has a cooking guide with time and temperature for frozen snacks and frozen vegetables, french fries, chicken, hamburgers and a few recipes. \r
Plug it in. Turn the knob to set the temperature. The timer knob is what turns the unit on. Turn the timer knob to cook time. The unit does need to heat up first before you add food so add 5 minutes to the timer. The power and heating lights will go on. When the heating light goes off, the unit has reached the temperature that you set. Take the pan out, push the release button cover forward and pull the handle back. Put the food in the basket, slide it back and that click means its locked in place. Youll hear a bell when the timer runs down. That also shuts down the unit automatically. If you want to turn it off manually, just turn the knob counterclockwise to O until you hear the bell. Theres a food guide on top of the unit with time and temperature. It is small and a little difficult to read. \r
You can also reheat food in this unit at 300 degrees for up to 10 minutes. The best amount of fries to use to get crispy fries is 8 ounces so thats the amount Im using. These are 2 medium potatoes. Ive cut them into the size of regular fries, rinsed them in water and dried them. I used 1 tsp of oil on the potatoes. Turn the temperature to 400 degrees and set the temperature to 20 minutes. Put the potatoes in the basket. Dont pour the whole thing in because you dont want any additional oil on the bottom. You can put in one pound of fries in the basket but they probably wouldnt be as crispy. Shake halfway through cooking. Its been 10 minutes and well check the fries. When you pull the basket out, the unit shuts off but the timer continues to run. Shake the basket. Put the basket back in and the unit turns back on automatically. The handle stays cool. The rest of the air fryer gets warm. \r
If you want to cook something else, you can do that without waiting. \r
Put the basket separator in the middle if you want to cook two different foods at the same time. \r
Now lets try chicken drumsticks. 2 drumsticks, salt, garlic powder, paprika and chili powder. Turn the temperature to 350. Ill set the timer to 25 minutes. \r
The Black and Decker did an excellent job on the french fries and a good job on the chicken. There is a noticeable plasticky smell when using the unit. \r
To clean, unplug and wait for the unit to cool. The outside can be wiped down with a damp cloth and so can the inside. The basket and separator are dishwasher safe or you can hand wash in warm soapy water. \r
I hope you found this review helpful. Please subscribe and Ill see you next time. Thanks for watching :)\r
