CHICKEN PAKORA RECIPE \r
Mouth-wateringly tasty pakoras are a favorite hot snack food in India and usually made with veggies dipped in a yummy gram flour batter and deep fried. However, theres nothing to stop you from experimenting with using different meats, chicken and fish, as in this recipe for chicken pakoras.\r

INGREDIENTS:\r

200 grm chicken strips\r
1 tbsp all purpose flour \r
1/2 tsp. ginger paste\r
1/2 tsp. garlic paste\r
1 tsp. garam masala\r
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder\r
salt to taste\r
1 tbsp gram flour\r
1 tsp. cornflour\r
1 tbsp yogurt \r
1 tsp. red chilli powder\r
1 tsp Red chilli sauce \r

METHOD \r

Cut the chicken pieces into strips and wash let them drain so that most of the liquid is removed from them.\r
\r
Put into a large mixing bowl and add the ginger and garlic pastes, garam masala, chilli sauce, turmeric powder, chili powder, corn flour, gram flour, all purpose flour, salt and yougart and mix well to coat all the chicken pieces. \r

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put into the refrigerator to marinate 10 to 30 minutes.\r

In a wok heat the oil for deep-frying. You will know the oil is hot when you drop in a piece of chicken and the oil sizzles and the chicken slowly comes to the surface.\r

Fry until golden on all sides. Use a slotted spoon to gently turn every now and then.\r
\r
When golden, remove the Chicken Pakoras from the oil with a slotted spoon, draining the oil, and rest on paper towels to remove even more oil.\r
\r
Serve hot with ketchup or barbecue sauce
