7) Free Spirit Spheres\r
\r
Suspended from and in webs of ropes among the Vancouver forest, Free Spirit Spheres labels itself a tree house experience for adults. According to hotel owners and designers, both sailboat masts and tree nuts inspired these rooms. This strange combination manifests itself as sphere rooms that look as though they have always been part of the landscape. These wooden orbs are one continuous wall and are uniquely situated in their individual tree or group of trees depending on the points of anchor available. Many sit in just a web of ropes that attach to various points in the forest. Most of the Free Spirit Spheres have free hanging wooden bridges and spiral staircases that look like they have grown from the forest floor for room access. \r

6) Magic Mountain Hotel\r

The Magic Mountain Hotel, located on the Huilo preserve in Chile, looks like a mountain with windows. Inspired by the nature surrounding the hotel, the pyramid shaped building in moss, shrubs, and other plant life, blending in perfectly with the landscape. Located in the southern Andes, the hotel caters mostly to patrons who are interested in exploring the beautiful landscape nearby. The interior of the hotel centers around the surrounding ecology as well, with things like ant decorated pillows and sustainable wood furnished furniture within the room. To top it off, the hotel has a waterfall that cascades down the building throughout the day. \r

5) Das Park Hotel\r

If youve ever wanted to sleep in the sewer pipes you should check out this hotel. Austrias, Das Park Hotel rooms are made from giant cement pipes originally destined for the Austrian sewers. While the pipes were never used for their intended purposes, usage as hotel rooms is extraordinarily strange. These rooms have each been retrofitted with a bed for two with storage space beneath and a small bedside table and lamp. They also have a small window that looks up into the night sky that helps patrons avoid feeling overly claustrophobic once they close their doors. \r

4) Treehotel\r

Located in Harads Sweden, the Treehotel features six weird tree house hotel rooms to stay in. Each room is completely unique in its design and symbolism. Possible tree houses customers can stay in include a reflective mirror cube room that looks as though it is floating among the trees and a UFO inspired suite. All rooms are suspended between two and six meters above the ground and have basic amenities. While on the inside each room is furnished and interestingly designed, it is their strange exteriors that really draws in attention. \r

3) Dog Bark Park Inn\r

Are you crazy about dogs? This hotel might be the perfect fit than. The bed and breakfast offers you and three others the opportunity to stay in a giant beagle shaped hotel. Located in Idaho, the single unit b&b, Dog Bark Park Inn, also features a pet themed interior. The toilet is even disguised as a fire hydrant. Lovingly referred to as Sweet Willie, the odd hotel theme has left an impression on locals. The beagle is even dog friendly, and encourages its visitors to bring their pets along with them. \r

2) The BootnBed Breakfast\r

The BootnBed Breakfast is designed to look like a giant shoe for customers to stay in. Designed by the hotel owner Steve Richards, The Boot has curved walls and rooms that really sell the feeling of sleeping in a shoe. It is located on a 6 acre property in Tasman, New Zealand and has room to fit several couples per night. It has modern amenities, including a shower and small kitchen. While initially receiving little business due to the niche audience it attred, The BootnBed now is regularly used. Although devoid of a used shoe smell, the hotel does its best to put customers in “There was an old lady who lived in a shoe,” and could be great for those who cant seem to get enough of their own footwear. \r

The Hotel CasAnus was designed by artist Joep Van Lieshout to look like an intestine. This bizarre hotel hits right on the mark, looking like a giant somehow left their large intestine in Antwerp, Belgium.
