One day they went to the landlords apartment\r
they had to go and pay the rent\r
they knocked on the door of the landlords apartment\r
and this is what he said\r

then he shot that lion, dead\r

Jimmy went with her down to the landlords\r
and got shot for being a lion\r
oh no oh why oh no why\r
would you do that to him\r
he was good he wasnt hurtin nobody\r
he was a lion but he was my friend\r
said you know the laws\r
never should have set his paws, here\r
it was true Lacey should have known better\r
but it was Jimmys fault that he was dead \r
cuz its written down to the letter\r
if youre a lion your blood is on your own head\r
so Lacey went back to her apartment\r
after paying her rent\r
she opened up that apartment handbook \r
and this is what she read\r
do not lie with a lion\r
as one lies with a tiger cuz thats bad\r
and if you see a lion\r
they must be put to death cuz they are bad\r
and Lacey saw nothing wrong with this\r
cuz Lacey is an idiot\r
and whoever wrote that apartment handbook\r
was just ignorant and bigoted\r
so dont follow rule books or listen to lords\r
think for yourself cuz you cant afford\r
to be as stupid as Lacey who went back to her apartment\r
got drunk on red wine and choked on her own vomit\r
and then she died
