Trump Says He Will Meet Kim Jong Un on June 12 The president told reporters outside of the White House that he will meet the North Korean leader in Singapore in June. Trump’s decision on the meeting comes after he met with Kim Yong Chol, North Korea’s top nuclear negotiator. It went very well. It was really a get-to-know-you kind of situation...we’ve gotten to know their people very well. The relationships are building and that's a very positive thing...They want to develop as a country. The decision to continue with the summit in Singapore comes less than a week after Trump said he was canceling the meeting.
