Irish fans celebrated outside Lille's Stade Pierre-Mauroy, Wednesday evening, after their team qualified for the quarter-finals of Euro 2016, beating Italy 1-0.

Ireland's national team will now face the host nation France in the round of 16, whereas for Italy Wednesday's defeat is negligible as the team leads group C. Italy will face Spain in the quarter-final in Paris on Monday.
