Dramatic movie-style footage shows a gang of thugs carrying out a shooting in broad daylight before being chased across a city by police cars and a helicopter.

Crystal-clear CCTV shows officers trying to track down the four thugs when a 27-year-old man was shot and a second man attacked after a fight broke out.

Violence erupted following an attempted robbery in the Jewellery Quarter, in Birmingham, on May 7 this year.
