Broken teapot bought for £15 could fetch more than £100k at auction

A broken teapot bought by a bargain hunter for £15 is expected to fetch more than £100k when it goes under the hammer.

The 18th century china is only the seventh piece of John Bartlam porcelain to be unearthed, with the other six residing in private collections and museums in the US.

It was found at an antique fair for £15 - and described as “the only teapot example” of Bartlam’s work, of which few examples exist.
