Elderly couple's home destroyed by huge blaze caused by stray firework hitting their home

An elderly couple have told how their home was gutted in a freak accident after their roof was hit by a giant FIREWORK.
Ted Bagshaw, 69, and his wife Wendy, 63, were watching Strictly Come Dancing on TV on Saturday (4/11) when they heard what sounded "like a massive bomb" go off.
A huge rocket smashed through the roof tiles of their detached home in Littleover, Derbys., just after 8pm and exploded in the loft space.
