Drone operator finds pooch down 200ft abandoned quarry
  • 5 years ago
A lost dog has been rescued after six days at the bottom of a 200ft quarry thanks to a drone operator. Ted the missing terrier disappeared on a walk with his owner earlier this month. Search teams failed to find him as they hunted on the ground and hopes had almost vanished for him. But drone operator Craig Timblin, 36, was called in and launched his spy in the sky above some nearby quarries. A short while later it spotted Ted - stuck 230ft down in a quarry at Larcombe, Devon and unable to get out.
