Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal says Angel Di Maria has "no excuse" after being sent off in the 2-1 FA Cup quarter-final defeat to Arsenal.

The Argentinian received a second yellow card for pulling referee Michael Oliver's shirt, just moments after he was booked for diving.

United were already trailing 2-1 when the former Real Madrid man was sent off.
