This shocking footage shows a reckless driver desperately trying to escape a persuing police car by driving along a pavement and crashing into five cars. Luke Hale careered headlong down a pavement and hit a parked car - sending it crashing into four others and leaving a trail of damage behind him. Prosecuting Carl Fitch told Grimsby Crown Court, North East Lincs., that Hale had been driving the vehicle and had been spotted by officers on May 25 and gave chase. Hale, 24, increased his speed - driving at 50mph in a 30mph in a residential street in Cleethorpes, North East Lincs., - and went the wrong way down a one-way street.
