Tug of war between children and a LION

A kid's football team wrestled a former circus lion in a tug of war through a cage. Youngsters from Foots Cray Lions Junior Football Club in Bexley, south east London, came face-to-face with African lion, Kasanga, to try and pull the cord from the wild animal. A piece of meat was tied to a rope that was threaded through the fence of the enclosure and when the king of the jungle took the meat between his jaws, the boys began pulling it away. The match between seven youths and three adults on one side verses the lion lasted around a minute, with neither side the overall winner, as a truce was called in time for Kasanga's dinner.
