Danny Willett arrives home after Masters win - has to direct traffic

Down-to-earth golfing superstar Danny Willett only wanted to sink a cup of tea when he returned home after winning The Masters.

Not letting the success go to his head, the Yorkshireman turned down a bottle of champagne offered by a well-wisher.

He revealed: "All I want to do is get in, put my feet up and have a cup of tea."

Danny, who arrived home at 1.40pm today (Tues), was forced to direct traffic himself - due to around ten vehicles blocking the entrance to his home.

Two Network Rail vans were travelling past the golfer's address and were met in a headlock with two scaffolding flatbed vehicles.

Danny left his silver Mercedes box van to sort out the problem himself and organised traffic outside his home on a tight country bend.

He was driven back home in a silver Mercedes Box van after leaving Manchester Airport earlier today.

He disembarked the vehicle to ask gathering press to move their cars so the traffic furore could be sorted.

When offered champagne by a wellwisher as he arrived home, Danny said: "No it's alright - you drink it yourself."
