Dementia sufferer breaks down when daughter gives her talking teddy with late husbands voice
  • 5 years ago
This is the heartbreaking moment an 83-year-old dementia sufferer breaks down when her granddaughter gives her a talking teddy - with her late husband's voice. Jean Walters was originally given the cuddly bear by her granddaughter Abbie Webb ten years ago, a month before her husband Dennis died of lung cancer in 2005. When squeezed, the soft toy plays a clip of Dennis saying: "You're the best girl in the world for me," - something he wrote in letters to Jean during his time in the Army. Grandmother-of-xxx Jean, a retired xxxx who was diagnosed with dementia in xxxx, would listen to the soundbite every day to feel close to her sweetheart.
