Bristol zoo counts it's animals - one by one

A zookeeper had a splashing time at work yesterday (Weds) when he had to dive into a tank – to count the FISH. The annual count which began at Bristol Zoo saw keeper Jonny Rudd swimming with the fishes to tally-up the 115 different species of aquatic animals. Over the next few days, Jonny will be totting-up the estimated 7,000 fish at the zoo, widely-regarded as the toughest counting task for the annual tally – because ants are measured by weight rather than number. Aquarium assistant curator Jonny said: “Bristol Zoo has nearly 7,000 fish altogether.
