Former model Emily Keat has fulfilled a life-long dream– by becoming the first pro-fish-ional MERMAID in the UK. 19-year-old Emily, from Wadebridge, Cornwall, turned her dream into a reality this August as she tried out her hand made two-metre tail for the first time. After a successful maiden voyage, Emily now makes a living as a mermaid by mer-modelling, mer-acting and performing other related mer-entertainment. Since becoming a mermaid Emily has already had several modelling jobs and children’s parties, but is currently looking to expand her repertoire. Having studied arts and crafts at at the local sixth form she has made her very own fish tail out of swim-suit material with silicone.
