Baby Lemur with only one arm
Nelson the baby lemur loves to playfight with his friends - despite being the only one in his group with three limbs after a mysterious accident. When the ring-tailed lemur was a couple of days old, staff at Cotswold Wildlife Park noticed something was up with his arm. After giving him a checkover, vets at the centre decided the best thing was to amputate his arm. The resilient creature underwent the operation and was back in the arms of his mother in just 30 minutes. Nelson, now two months old, has become a firm favourite at the centre and despite his disability is among the most boisterous lemurs at the centre.
