Shocking CCTV footage shows fruit and potato merchant Stuart Timmins being flung from his 4x4 as he clung on to try and prevent it being stolen. A Wolverhampton man has been sentenced to over seven years in prison after stealing a 4x4, leaving its owner with severe leg injuries. Chase Edwards, aged 30, was given seven years, four months for a string of offences including theft, robbery and driving while disqualified and without insurance at Wolverhampton Crown Court. Stuart, a 48-year-old father of one, suffered a complex fracture of the tibia and fibula in his left leg as well as cuts and bruises. He has had two operations, one to stabilise his leg initially and a second to insert 17 permanent pins and two plates to set him on the long road to recovery. Stuart was in his office when he heard the door of his truck slam. Puzzled, he went to investigate and saw a figure in the driver's seat. As realisation dawned, he jumped onto the side step...but the vehicle started up and sped out of the yard with its trailer attached. Stuart gripped the roof rail of the red and silver Mitsubishi and tried to smash the driver's side window to grab the keys. He was dragged a few hundred metres along the road but as the pick-up accelerated away he realised it was too dangerous to cling on any longer. read more http://swns.com/news/greengrocer-dragged-50ft-speeding-truck-stop-thief-stealing-apples-36947/
