A randy swan has been grounded for his own safety after constantly trying to mate - with a HELICOPTER. Whooper the swan is so smitten with his favourite chopper he flies up to meet it every time it comes into land. But his owners are so terrified the besotted bird will fly into its rotor blades that they've had to clip Whooper's wings. Whooper has been looking for love in the skies above Jersey's Les Mielles Golf and Country club for the past two years after losing his partner.
