Fresh Watermelon Cake - with yoyomax12

This dessert is nice and light and makes a perfect dessert for a summer cook-out! You can use cool-whip topping or whipped cream in this.\r

Stabilized whipped cream recipe:\r
\r
2 tsp unflavored gelatin\r
8 tsp cold water\r
2 cups heavy whipping cream\r
1/2 cup confectioners sugar\r
\r
In a small bowl, combine gelatin and cold water; let stand until thick.\r
Place in microwave for about 25 seconds and stir until gelatin is dissolved. Allow to cool to room temperature.\r
Whip the cream with the confectioners sugar, until slightly thick.\r
While slowly beating, add the gelatin to whipping cream.\r
Whip at high speed until stiff peaks form\r

Makes about 4 cups of whipped cream.\r
