The Beach House is a 2018 television film directed by Roger Spottiswoode adapted from the 2002 novel by Mary Alice Monroe.

Movie Plot.

Caretta "Cara" Rudland loses her advertising job in Chicago and returns to her roots in South Carolina at the request of her mother, who works to protect loggerhead sea turtlesduring their spawning cycle. Cara had always resented the attention her mother paid to the turtles instead of to her during her youth but when she learns that her mother has fallen ill she attempts to restore their relationship by fixing up the beach house and helping the turtles.
