Pixar's 'Finding Nemo' Turns 15 Years Old Disney and Pixar Animation Studio released their 5th feature film ‘Finding Nemo’ on May 30, 2003. The film tells the story of the clownfish, Marlin, who goes on an undersea adventure with a bluefish named Dory to find his abducted son. It features voice work from Albert Brooks, Alexander Gould, Willem Dafoe, and Ellen DeGeneres. ‘Finding Nemo’ opened to $70 million on its release, breaking the record debut for an animated title. The movie also won the Best Animated Feature Oscar at the 76th Academy Awards. ‘Finding Nemo’ is the best-selling DVD of all time and named the 10th greatest animated film ever by the American Film Institute. The sequel, 'Finding Dory', was released in 2016.
