"Premium Strategy" of Samsung and LG TVs worked to increase lead over Chinese TVs

Samsung and LG have extended their lead over Chinese electronics brands in the global TV market.
According to market analysts IHS Markit, Samsung Electronics leads the way with 28.6 percent of global TV sales in the first quarter.
LG Electronics has the next largest market share with 17.9 percent.
The Korean brands saw global sales rise by between 1 and 3 percent from the previous year, while Chinese brands TCL and Hisense, ranked fourth and fifth in global market share, saw their sales decrease.
The market analysts say the 'premium strategy' pursued by Korean brands is the main reason for their strong first quarter performance.
