8 - Catching on… \r
Plastic Bags have been banned in several countries, but there are still many trailing behind. Bangladesh was the first to ban them in 2002, followed by France and Tanzania. San Francisco was the first US city to ban them in 2007. Many countries, like the UK and South Africa, now charge consumers for their plastic bags. \r

7 - Land of milk and honey… \r
If youre heading over to the US and hoping to enjoy some unpasteurised milk or raw milk, well think again. Its banned in 22 states in the US and Canada. Its been banned due to the microbes and germs found in the milk, although its still common in Africa, Europe and Asia. \r

6 - Heading to the s… \r
If youre off to Thailand and wanting to couple that up with one of the most famous s set in Thailand, Anna and the King, well youre in for a disappointment. Theis banned in Thailand as its felt its disrespectful to their monarchy and doesnt correctly display their history. \r

5 - Two-Faced… \r
Over in Saudi Arabia, Masquerade masks are banned. It began in new where Guy Fawkes masks were initially banned, then masks were removed from toy shops and stalls and eventually they were downright banned. \r

4 - Only in the US… \r
You have to wonder why its still allowed in the US and not in 160 other countries around the world! Ropamine is a drug that is seen in 20% of meat sold in the US, which reduces the fat content of animals before they are slaughtered. Russia has banned meat imports from the US and apparently the US doesnt test for the drug in their meat before selling. \r

A more unusual one, Saint Lucia has banned any shaving brushes from being imported from Japan dur to an athrax – contamination scandal that happened in the early 1900s! Its a long time to hold a grudge isnt it? \r

2 - Colour my world… \r
Food colouring can make your culinary explorations much more fun, but unfortunately it is used in too many products and at very high levels. For example Yellow 5 and 6 are predominant in Mac n Cheese, potato chips and even soft drinks, and Norway and Sweden have banned any products containing those colourants. Its been said that those colourants are harmful to children, hindering ivity and attention. \r

1 - A sad day for Russia…\r
1 January new must have been a sad day for Russians, as it was the first day that a new law was officially introduced – where they banned Apple iPhones and iPads. It affected any device that relied on Apples US-based iCloud servers. This was said to effect Facebook and Twitter as well.
