Huge thunderstorm pounds Great Britain

A huge thunderstorm lit up the skies above much of Great Britain overnight.

This clip shows hail falling and setting off car alarms in Gillingham in Kent at around midnight.

Torrents of rainwater can also be seen flowing past the filmers front gate.
