(From the blog post) Here is the story/thoughts I had behind this makeup: We have this woman, shes in love. But she is in a terrifyingly abusive relationship that she just cannot seem to walk away from. Though she has tried, she just keeps gravitating back to it. Always being promised.forever. Things get so bad, her partner ually takes her life one night. Even in death, she cannot pass on, away from this relationship. She is existing in a limbo, in between worlds, always drawn back to the home of her love every February 14th. How can she still love someone so much that could do this to her? Is this her fault? The thought drives her completely insane. She begins carving those promised words FOREVER across her chest. Over time, as she sees that its healing, she carves into the wounds once again. Over, over, and over again.never completely healing, and the cycle just keeps repeating itself... Forever. So we have all the different stages of bruising, plus skin irritation and fresh blood to represent never letting the wounds heal. Then the black paint through the letters to show a depth to them. I hope you guys enjoyed this one, I really love how it came together.\r
