The number of barricades multiplies in the western Nicaraguan village of Monimbo, which took on the Somocista dictatorship 40 years ago, and which is now facing President Ortega. "We have total control of the city. It is in the hands of the people of Masaya," proudly claims a masked protester, as he adds the police have been "confined" to their quarters "for the past 20 days."
