Instagram Introduces Mute Button The photo-sharing company announced the new feature in a press release on Tuesday. The mute button will give users more control over what they see in their feeds, allowing them to hide posts from certain accounts without having to unfollow them. Users will still be able to see the muted accounts’ photos on their profile and will also get notifications if the muted account tags them or comments on their photos. The mute button also allows users to differentiate and block either their posts, their Instagram Story or both. The feature will roll out over the next few weeks.
