Also in limbo due to North Korea's recent change in tone is a joint event between Seoul and Pyongyang set for mid-June.
A South Korean civic group was supposed to leave on a four-day visit across the border for detailed discussions about the event on Wednesday.
But that was cancelled as the regime didn't extend an invitation.
Trips to the North require an official invitation from Pyongyang that must also be submitted to Seoul's Unification Ministry for approval,... at least 7 days before departure.
At the inter-Korean summit in April, the two sides agreed to hold joint events on major shared dates,... the first one being June 15th... the date of the two Koreas' first-ever joint declaration back in 2000.
