Southern California High Speed Chase (February 24, 2016)

A male driver was taken into custody on Wednesday afternoon after a pursuit that originated in Lake Forest and ended in Huntington Beach, authorities said.\r

The chase began about 3:15 p.m. when an Orange County Sheriffs Department unit attempted to pull over the motorist for minor traffic violations, sheriffs Lt. Mark Stichter said.\r

The driver began driving very erratically and on the wrong side of the road, according to the lieutenant.\r

The high-speed pursuit ended when authorities performed a PIT maneuver on a gray pickup and the driver was apprehended, news video showed.\r

Law enforcement personnel were processing the vehicle in the parking lot of a Huntington Beach McDonalds, in the 20300 block of Beach Boulevard, after the incident.\r

Jordan Salas is facing two felony counts of evading police and reckless driving.
