You will need: \r
White school glue \r
Food coloring (gel or liquid) - only need a few drops\r
1 tsp. Borax (found on the laundry aisle of the grocery store)\r
1 cup warm water for the Borax\r
Warm water to fill glue bottles\r
A bowl and spoon\r
\r
We have made a LOT of slime with very mixed results. After much testing and tossing of slime, we figured out the secret: its in the amount of Borax water used. Too much and your slime breaks instead of stretching. Too little and your slime will stick to everything. Add the Borax water in small increments and mix or knead well for a minute or so before adding more. We start with 3 tablespoons of Borax water and then add about 1 tsp. at a time until we get the consistency we like.\r
\r
FYI: While we obviously wouldnt give this to a very small child who may eat it, we do feel that it is fine to play with. Of course, its a good idea to wash your hands when you are finished.\r
\r
Slime will stick to your clothes, however, weve had it wash out easily every time with no permanent staining or damage. For this purpose, though, we suggest you dont go overboard on the food coloring.\r
\r
Slime will store for weeks, and possibly months, in a sealed bag. \r
