Apple Music Grows to 50 Million Users Apple CEO Tim Cook shared the number with Bloomberg TV on Tuesday. The number has grown from the reported 38 million users in March and includes both paid members and users with free trials. The march number did not include users who opted in for the three-month free trial period. Apple’s biggest competition continues to be Spotify, Which currently holds 75 million paid members and 170 million users with free accounts.
