Ivanka Trump gave a speech in Jerusalem on Monday for the opening of the new U.S. Embassy. It appears that while doing so, the first daughter took a bit of a verbal tumble when mentioning her father, President Trump, and the nation he leads.  "On behalf of the 45th president of the United States on America, we welcome you officially and for the first time to the embassy of the United States here in Jerusalem, the capital of Israel," she said. Trump's use of "on America" was noticed by many and social media was quickly abuzz.  Twitter comments included, "Is it just me or did @IvankaTrump just say 'United States on America'? It certainly sounded like 'on' and not 'of'," and, "…did Ivanka actually say 'the United States on America'? Sure sounded like it, but maybe I mis-heard."
Another added a bit of historical context, writing, "Yes. Definitely on AMERICA. It's like when W said people were working hard to put food on their family." Many came to Ivanka Trump's defense.  "It appears that a lot of comments are coming from people that have never or will never been scheduled to make a speech," one social media user noted. "This was a Great Day for Israel, Our Country and our PRESIDENT!!!!!"  It was also stated that "the faultless perfect hateful liberal media cannot help but prey on a simple mistake."
