OLD IS GOLD! Driving a £1 MILLION Ferrari 250 Pininfarina

The LaFerrari Aperta leads the way to start off Ferrari's 70th anniversary celebrations! To mark the occasion the first convoy with Meridien Modena takes more than 70 Ferrari owners on a drive from the Goodwood Motor Circuit to Portsmouth and for the journey I'm handed the keys to a Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina from 1959, worth nearly £1 million.

On my channel you'll more normally see the more modern supercars but this is a truly special opportunity to drive a classic car that plays a big role in Ferrari's history and particularly the relationship with Pininfarina. The various models of Ferrari 250 such as the 250 GTO, 250 SWB and 250 California have huge provenance but it's an interesting to comparison to look at the 250 GT Pininfarina (or 250 PF for short) as the equivalent to an 812superfast of its day. Luxurious, comfortable, fast, with a 3l Colombo V12, 4 speed manual with overdrive, and some cosmetic upgrades found on other models.

Surrounded by other models including: F40, F50, F12tdf, Speciale and everything from the current line-up, taking part with the 250 PF made the event truly memorable.

A huge thanks to Meridien Modena for the hospitality and opportunity to jump behind the wheel of such a car, and of course to Ferrari for this being possible!

Thanks for watching, Tim
