The SLC 43 from Mercedes-AMG introduces a new tier in the model line with character and touches from AMG. Under the previous naming structure, the 3-litre V6 was found in the Mercedes-Benz SLK 350, the model itself has been streamlined within the full naming structure to be called the SLC but now the 43 series engines sit beneath the top AMG 63 engines but offer more of a sporty feel than the comfort models. Complicated? Yes, sorry.

The car itself falls into a declining segment, the two-seater convertible, but what's it all about? Let's take a look around, gauge what the car is like and then go for a test drive on a particularly nice road.
