This is where it all starts as I'm inside the paint booth at the Aston Martin factory in Gaydon to see my Vantage GT8 being painted in my chosen colour; Cobalt Blue.

With the shell and bodywork prepared in advance, including fitment and alignment, then going through the primer sections, this is where it starts to get exceptionally exciting with the opportunity to be up close and personal as it turns from primer grey into a striking blue.

I cannot thank Aston Martin enough for this fantastic opportunity to be able to bring you the look behind the scenes at the build process of my Vantage GT8. On both a personal level with the storyline for my own car and also the content I'm able to bring to you guys, it's absolutely wonderful.

I hope you enjoy this amazing opportunity, and equally the content that is to come as the car moves out to the production line and ultimately continues on the Road to GT8.
