Flooding triggered by snow melt of the Okanogan River and other rivers in northeastern Washington has forced families from their homes and caused widespread damage.The American Red Cross reported on May 11 that they had opened an emergency shelter for affected residents. This video shows flooding in Oroville, on Lake Osoyoos.North of the border in British Columbia, Global News reported record flooding of the Granby, Kettle, and West Kettle rivers saying that rising waters had trapped some Grand Forks residents inside their homes.
