Skoda held the world premiere of its new urban crossover in concept form: the Vision X. The third SUV of the Czech brand presents an innovative design, developed in line with the brand’s codes and gives us an idea what to expect from Skoda in the 2020s. The Vision X is equipped with a 1.5-liter fourcylinder that bears the name of G-TEC, with the G standing for gas. Designed to run on both highoctane jungle juice and CNG, the engine is complemented by an electric motor. The Vision X drives with front, rear or four-wheel drive as needed. Powered by a 48-volt lithium-ion battery, the electric motor can power the car for two kilometres and provides 70 Nm of torque from standstill. The other motor is a belt-driven starter-generator in front. Skoda says that the model has a range of up to 650 km thanks to the additional petrol reserve tank.
