Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a theme officially released in new, although it was available in stores in some areas as early as December new. It is based on the Nickelodeon TV show that premiered on September 29th, new in the US. Seven more sets will be released in new, with three being based on the upcoming Ninja Turtles .\r

Ninjutsu master Hamato Yoshi (Splinter) is carrying his four pet turtles through the streets of New York City when he encounters members of an alien race called the Kraang. During an altercation with these aliens, Hamato and the turtles are exposed to an alien chemical called mutagen and they undergo major physical transformations. Hamato Yoshi becomes a humanoid rat and the turtles become human/turtle hybrids. Splinter retreats to the New York City sewers, where he raises the four turtles as his sons and imparts to them his knowledge of ninjutsu. Now teenagers, the Turtles venture to the surface for the first time and learn that the Kraang is using the mutagen as part of their plan to take over New York City. The Turtles befriend the teenage April ONeil after she and her scientist father Kirby are abducted by the Kraang. While Kirby remains a prisoner of the Kraang, April becomes an ally of the Turtles as they help her to find out where the Kraang have taken her father. The Turtles also learn that Splinters long-time enemy Oroku Saki (Shredder) has ordered his Foot Clan to track down Splinter and his sons, and put an end to their clan. \r

Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles minifigure released in new. Michelangelo was formerly, along with his three, older brothers, a normal turtle, who was bought in a pet store by Splinter, when he was a human named Hamato Yoshi. Yoshi then saw many strange men (The Kraang) meeting. Those men carried a mutegen and when confronted by Yoshi, it was dropped onto the turtles spilled cage and Yoshi. The mutagen mutated Michelangelo and his three brothers into larger, more intelligent mutants, while turning Splinter into a giant rat. He then hid out in the sewers for 15 years, until the four turtles persuaded Splinter to let them go up to the surface. In the show, he is one of the main protagonists alongside his three brothers. He is the one who loves to party and goof off. \r

The Shredder, formerly known as Oroku Saki, is the eternal and main adversary of Splinter and the turtles. He is the undisputed leader of the foot clan consisting of Foot Soldiers, Dogpound, and Fishface. He is a master of ninjitsu, surpassing the turtles and being equaled only by Splinter. He has a adopted daughter named Karai, who disagrees with her father and rebels against him, even striking up a romantic interest in Leonardo.\r

Long ago, Shredder was known as Oroku Saki and was good friends with Hamato Yoshi (also known as Splinter). However, both men fell in love with the same woman, Tang Shen, which sparked a bitter rivalry between them. Eventually Tang Shen married Yoshi and gave birth to his daughter Miwa. One night, Saki, mad with jealousy and hatred, attacked Yoshi in his home intending to kill him. Saki slashed a house onto Yoshi killing his wife and leaving Saki badly wounded. This infuriated Saki to the point of taking away Splinters daughter Miwa as punishment, which left Splinter isolated.\r

At some point, Saki became known as Shredder who has now organized a large squad of soldiers in Tokyo, Japan. Among his diciples are Karai, Bradford, and Xever. Upon realizing that Splinter had survived the fight fifteen years ago, Shredder deploys his army to travel to America with intent to kill Splinter once and for all. \r
