A distressed horse stuck in a deep ditch in the Shadow Hills neighborhood of Sunland-Tujunga, California, on May 8, was airlifted to safety by LA’s Specialized Mobile Animal Rescue Team and colleagues at the LA County Fire Department’s Air Ops unit.The rescue teams decided airlifting via helicopter would be the safest way to rescue the horse, which they did “with no apparent injury” to the animal, according to the LAFD.
